City of Plantation’s Future Land Use Policy

Policy made to be broken!

Plantation’s Future Land Use Policy 1.5.2 specifically states, “The city shall continue to support the low density rural character of its western border including Plantation Acres by discouraging increased density both residential and non-residential use. This policy is applicable to both City development and its adjacent municipalities.”

Changing City of Plantation Foundations

Developers quest for the almighty dollar costing the city and families their heritage.

The effects of development by awarding waivers for the developer to increase density results in increased traffic without ANY infrastructure improvements required to receive those waivers by city government.

Once, if a business, business owner, public official or Home Owners Association (HOA) did something a member of the public didn't like or disagreed with, they had little recourse besides protesting in person or to their local Better Business Bureau. Now, with the avenue of the Internet, the average person can easily voice their concerns and open a dialog to come to a compromise and/or lead to a resolution. If that opportunity by the business, public or HOA official neglects to respond, it is up to any of those individuals to voice their response.
