
Council Member Ron Jacobs
Ron Jacobs was elected to Plantation City Council in March 2011. He served previously on City Council from 1993 to 2005. During that time he was appointed Council President 1996, 2000 and 2003.
Ron received his Juris Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern Center for the Study of Law. He also has a Bachelors degree in Business from Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa.
He has a business background that includes law, real estate investing, financial markets and computers and was a member of the New York Futures Exchange where he traded futures contracts in the “trading pit.” He is also well versed in computer technology, having authored two educational computer programs used by several law schools as well as providing consulting expertise to various south Florida organizations.
Councilman Jacobs has been a Plantation resident for 25 years, Ron is happily married to Mardi and has two children, Ryan and Margaux.
