Absolute recklessness when elected officials respond to an inquiry with “will look into” or “forwarded your concerns” with no follow up or resolution map. It has now been years where I have just been blown off and the offending property just continue on with no investment in properly maintaining their property to the City of Plantation Building, Landscaping codes.

Below is a listing of the property issues taken directly from www.plantation.org. The listing shows a consistent pattern of dis-repair going back eleven years! Of all the time and money the City of Plantation has had to spend coming out and inspect the property, not one time have they been fined!

As you can see below by the email timelines, the responses are in essence the same. Really believe that the City of Plantation did not envision a mature property hedge and swale to look like what is being allowed presently. It can only come back to the East / West Divide!

Thank you for the credit, however, the City’s various departments have  worked across the board to resolve this matter.  While certain matters do  not necessarily appear on  the City’s website, it does not mean that the City is not working on a solution.

I know that our Mayor, Police Chief, many of our department directors and many staff have visited the site over the last year, so your concerns have  not fallen on deaf ears.

The City Codes allow for due process, which the City is pursuing.

We will continue to keep you in the loop as this matter progresses.

Thank you for your input.

Respectfully,
Lynn Stoner

Mr. Ezzeddine,

My deepest appreciation for taking the time to respond with the status of  resolving the issues that I pointed out and have brought to the Plantation City Council since May 28. Until Madam President Stoner got involved, I had yet to get any kind of action from your department.

After reviewing the documents attached to the email sent as a response, I noticed right away that you are not addressing the correct party and I may be wrong but the Strata Group no longer owns the property. It is now owned by the Invesca Development Group. (http://www.invesca.com/) The contact  information posted on their website cites their “Headquarters” address of: 4799 N.W 8th Ct. Plantation, FL 33317.  (http://www.invesca.com/#!locations/c1vpk).

It troubles me that Mr. Christopher Longswirth has yet to point this out and also my concern of him delaying addressing these issues since he is completely unresponsive to me. He has been copied on these emails and has  yet to make a single effort to respond.

I understand that the Invesca Development Group has recently taken  possession of the property and their plans for the property but that in no way condones the condition that the property is presently in and I have been pointing this out for months to Police Chief Harrison and the City Council with nothing being done and as a result my holidays were filled with looking at a trash strewn property and do not want to deal with it any longer and expect the city to resolve the issue. This property has yet to be cited, putting a direct clock on the resolution, and continually allowing this be delayed at the owners timetable is unacceptable and again ask that the property be cited for the violations and be recorded on the record in writing according to the Codes of the City of Plantation and just as the City of Plantation has done for many of the residents. Selective enforcement results in what I am now dealing with every day.
