On Thursday, November 30th, the new owners of the former fashion mall went before the City of Plantation City Council for a slew of code changes and variances.

Looks like the property will now transform into 700 homes, office space, 200,000 square feet of retail and restaurants with outdoor seating and walkways to encourage pedestrians. Some apartments will be built on top of retail space for a total of seven stories, and two stand-alone apartment complexes would range from 8 to 12 stories.

346 units, the first batch of 700 total rental apartments, were approved, as well. Rent to range from $1,800 to $3,000 per month.
