Came across the following presentations of the discussions during the “Mayor’s Council” meetings. Going back, as of this writing, to February of 2014 on the City of Plantation website.
Looks like during the June meeting the new term “Ad Valorem Bond” was brought to the table and defined by the topic “What is an Ad Valorem Bond?” A timeline is provided on the cost and the “Major Capital Projects” to spend it.

Out of all the “Major Capital Projects” only one “Major Capital Projects” designated for Park East! Under “Capital Needs – Public Works” is “Stormwater Utility Upgrades” that if I am not corrected, we are already being hit with a “Storm Water Surcharge” on our current City Of Plantation SurCharge, fill in the blank.
Looks like the “Major Capital Projects” are all west of the turnpike!
Reading the September meeting presentation just got me hotter under the collar. This elected official is now trying to get more money from me and you. There is no “Return on Investment” ROI for the entire Plantation Park East community. Yes, understand the storm water issue but these elected officials have spent the taxpayer money and now need more…

How many surcharges, surtax, taxes or Ad Valorem will it take to get the storm water issue resolved? Will not be voting for the Broward County Penny Surtax nor the Ad Valorem Bond
