Didn’t get your October City of Plantation Water Utility Bill. You’re not alone! No one has!
Knowing how the City of Plantation is when it comes to them getting their money when it comes to water, 30 days’ delinquent, SHUT OFF! Having issues of getting mail at my home, made the trip to the City of Plantation’s City Hall to make sure my account is current and was told that due to a Bill Statement Design:
“Delay in Utility Bill Printing Message
Due to the new water bill statement design there has been a delay in printing the City’s Utility Water Bills. The City is diligently working to rectify this situation. We sincerely apologize for this delay and to better assist our customers the City has extended the due date of this bill. There will be no interruption in service or any late fees assessed for this bill delay.
Again, we apologize and thank you for your patience.”
All of our tax dollars and create a complete fiasco!
At least, had the ability to get the information! Cannot fathom residents who simply pay the bill when it is received (like me) or are on budgets that will receive a double bill in November. The hardship will be tremendous!
On top of that, the City of Plantation Utilities Department charges over 8% in surcharge to pay online! ($2.48 for every $300.00.) ROBBERY! Compare to the County to pay online any bill is just under 2%!
Next time the City of Plantation Police pull me over and attempt to issue a citation, will try the apology route and let’s see how far that gets me.
